Grants Available to Bradford County Families with Children with Cancer

The Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers (CFTT) has grant funds available to eligible Bradford County families that presently have children undergoing treatment for cancer. Grants from the Jordan Wilcox Pediatric Cancer Fund are to be used to help needy families in Bradford County cover costs not covered by insurance during treatment of their child for cancer. These funds can be used for a variety of expenses not covered by insurance such as travel costs, housing while the child is undergoing treatment, etc.

To receive funding a family must be able to document their need (income no more than 200% of poverty for a family of their size), verify the expenditure of funds or produce an invoice for expenses, and show these costs were not covered by insurance.

There are funds available now to eligible families. The CFTT will award a grant of up to $500 a family/year. Requests can be made at any time. The family of Jordan Wilcox, in setting up this fund with the CFTT, wishes to help other families in their time of need just as they were helped by others. The Board of Directors wishes to offer residents an opportunity to contribute directly to this fund and help the family grow the number of grants they are able to make available to Bradford County families.

CFTT is a purely public charity, incorporated as a non-profit organization, which has been granted 501(c)(3) status by the IRS. All contributions to any fund at the CFTT are tax deductible.
