Welcome to the website of the Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers (CFTT). We are happy you stopped for a visit. We have taken great pains to ensure this website contains the information you are seeking. Our Community Foundation was started in 2002 and is set up to serve the rural counties of Bradford, Sullivan, and Tioga Counties in Pennsylvania and Tioga County in New York State. We straddle the border between the southern tier of New York and the northern tier of Pennsylvania and are surrounded every day with beautiful mountain & scenic river vistas. Sitting at the northern end of the Appalachian Mountain chain, the meandering Susquehanna River transverses the region and provides both passive and active recreational opportunities to our residents and visitors.
Just as you are unique, so are we. Please let us know if you are not able to find the information you seek on this website. We are always interested in hearing whether you found the site easy to navigate or if you wish to make suggestions for improvement. |

We are one of approximately 700 community foundations in the United States that range in size from a few thousand dollars to almost $2 billion in assets, and provide services and opportunities as varied as the communities they serve. Community Foundations are independent, tax-exempt public charities created by and for the people in a local area. They enable people with philanthropic interests to support the issues they care about, easily and effectively. They create long-term assets for communities to sustain the people who live there by growing endowment funds, investing those funds, and returning the earnings from those funds to the communities served in the form of grants.
