We help you help your clients help the community.

Older Couple Speaking to Professional Advisor
As a professional advisor – whether you’re a lawyer, financial planner, accountant, or other trusted consultant, your number one objective is to help your clients achieve their goals. When it comes to charitable contributions, your clients look for options that are both emotionally and financially satisfying. After all, just like no community needs are the same, no philanthropic reasons are the same. From the client whose wife died of cancer and wants to set up a legacy in her honor, to the family affected by – and determined to cure – autism, everybody has unique reasons to give. And everybody deserves custom, professional advice and solutions to make the most of their giving.

We can help. Here's how:

  • We are experts in philanthropy and how nonprofit organizations work
  • We work hand-in-hand with professionals in tax law, estate planning, accounting, wealth management and financial planning
  • We have unequaled insight into our local community’s needs and resources
  • We bring the highest level of professionalism and efficiency to the philanthropy process

If you’re a professional advisor wanting to maximize your clients’ charitable giving, learn what it’s like to work with us, and how we can team up to do more good.

Community Foundation vs. Private Foundation

In some cases, your clients might ask about setting up a private family foundation. While that can be right for some, it brings a host of regulatory and administrative burdens with it. Establishing a donor advised fund through a community foundation often allows your client to achieve their philanthropic objectives with far less effort and, in some cases, more freedom to choose how the money is granted to recipients.

If you would like to gather more information about the differences between community foundations and private foundations, please give us a call. We would welcome the opportunity to meet with you to discuss any questions you might have.
